The development of this product was designed to protect the front of vehicles from small nudging impacts.
A nudge bar is a protective product being a purpose bent shaped round metal bar (steel or alloy) that protrudes out from the existing bumper bar to protect the motor vehicle from any unfortunate accident which may occur whilst parking thus causing damage such as scraps and scratches which may involve costly repairs. It is only for protection from small impacts A nudge bar provides additional frontal protection and enhances the vehicle with its robust appearance.
Nudge bars are usually attached to the front of the motor vehicle approx. 50mm from the existing bumper bar to soften any casual interaction with opposing objects. These originally came into conception in the early 1980s as a protective device with the advent of plastic and long tapered nose vehicles which created the problem of being able to calculate where the front of the vehicle ends so as you do not damage the front nose when parking, causing expensive repairs and repaints of bumper bars.
These are a functional and cosmetic product.
Available in 1 ½” (45mm to 3” (80mm) steel, chrome and alloy. Optional spot light tabs.
Are easy to fit but may require minor drilling for bolt holes.
